MR.WILLIAMS James McCaffrey
A native New Yorker, born and raised in Albany, he attended the University of New Haven where he studied Fine Arts. Currently James is best know for his portrayal of "JIMMY KEEFE" in the award winning F/X television series Rescue Me. Originating this role in the pilot in 2004, James plays the deceased cousin of the Denis Leary character -- serving as his conscience and subconscious in some of the most riveting drama on television. Showing his range on the small screen McCaffrey was concurrently playing a debonair industrialist and Daphne Zuniga's love interest in the limited ABC Family Series Beautiful People.
James television credits also include the lead in NBC’s Viper and Swift Justice for Dick Wolf Productions. Among others his guest appearances include New York Undercover, Law And Order: SVU, Law And Order: Criminal Intent, 3lbs , Canterbury's Law and Hack.
Notable film roles are The Truth About Cats And Dogs opposite Uma Thurman, Hotel Shanghi, American Splendor, The Tic Code, Distress, Spike Lee’s She Hate Me, and Hide & Seek and Max Payne. Projects still to be released include the indie-horror Camp Hope with co-stars Dana Delaney, Andrew McCarthy and Jesse Eisenberg and Sordid Things, a pyschological thriller with Alex Kingston. From his start in Boston, with a stage production of Electra: A Central American Tragedy (Orestes), James keeps his interest in theater going with such off-Broadway productions such as The Scape, The Florentine, Loves & Madmen, In Ten Cities and Gross Points, with Alec Baldwin.
